While shortlisted candidates across 16 categories will have to wait until the night of the Facilities Management Awards to be held at the Ballsbridge Hotel, Dublin, on Wednesday, January 31st to find out if they are successful, one trophy recipient has already been named.
Margot Slattery is country president of Sodexo Ireland.
As country president, Margot Slattery has corporate governance and directorial responsibility for all Sodexo operations in Ireland and Northern Ireland, where it employs 3,700 people with a turnover of €118m in 2016.
Under her leadership, Sodexo was named Total Facilities Management Service Provider of the Year at the 2016 Facilities Management Awards Ireland. It also won the Top Site Contract Caterer Award at the Gold Medal Awards for Excellence in Catering that same year.
In 2017, Sodexo was awarded the Business Working Responsibly Mark from Business in the Community Ireland in 2017, the only catering and facilities management company to receive it to date. It also won the NISO President’s Award at the All-Ireland Occupational Safety Awards.
Margot has appeared on the OUTstanding/Financial Times’ list of Top 100 LGBT Business Leaders for three years running. In June 2017, for her work in supporting diversity and inclusion and women in business, she was made a Chevalier de l’Ordre National du Mérite by the then French Ambassador to Ireland.
Outside Sodexo, Margot sits on the council of the Dublin Chamber of Commerce and is President of Appeals for the Irish Hospitality Trust. She is a non-executive board member of several organisations, including Business in the Community Ireland.
