Facilities, engineering and infrastructure solutions provider ABM has been appointed by international high-speed rail operator Eurostar to deliver cleaning and facilities management services across its key UK operational locations, including St Pancras International station and Temple Mills Depot, in a contract win that underlines ABM's accelerating expansion into the UK rail and transport sector.

FM Industry reported that the appointment supports Eurostar's ambition to carry 30 million passengers annually by 2030, with ABM deploying technology-enabled and data-driven solutions to put passenger experience at the centre of operational delivery.

ABM will deliver train and station cleaning at St Pancras International, in-transit and office cleaning, and facilities services at Temple Mills Depot, alongside support for the depot shuttle bus service. The firm has deployed 200 team members across Eurostar's UK hubs, providing 24-hour operational support to meet the demands of one of Europe's busiest international rail services.

The contract will incorporate environmentally responsible cleaning practices, resource-efficient operations and data-led reporting aligned with Eurostar's sustainability and ESG objectives.

Richard Sykes, senior vice president and president of ABM UK and Ireland, said: "We're proud to be working with Eurostar, one of Europe's most recognisable rail brands and a vital connection between the UK and mainland Europe. Our track record across major transport hubs demonstrates our ability to deliver consistent, high-quality cleaning services in a complex international rail environment."

ABM recently joined the Rail Forum as part of broader expansion plans across the rail, maritime and bus sectors, building on its expertise serving more than 75 airports worldwide and its existing contracts with Heathrow Airport and the London Underground network.
