Facilio, a United States-based facilities operations and maintenance platform provider for large-scale enterprise portfolios, has announced the launch of its Autonomous AI Agent Suite, bringing fully autonomous execution to manual back-office workflows in facilities management, as reported by PR Newswire.
The purpose-built AI agents actively execute and coordinate facilities operations rather than simply documenting them, automating up to 40 per cent of repetitive work. Facilio's Agentic AI spans three high-impact areas: helpdesk dispatch, compliance automation, and finance and control.
Prabhu Ramachandran, chief executive officer and co-founder at Facilio, said AI is moving from analysis to action, shifting work from human-driven to system-driven approaches. He added that facilities management is one of the last large operational domains still reliant on manual coordination.
Traditional FM operations rely on computerised maintenance management system platforms that act as systems of record, documenting work and depending on human-triggered workflows. Facilio's Autonomous AI Agents actively drive workflows forward by continuously executing routine tasks, keeping humans involved for oversight and exceptions where needed.
Raj Subramanian, chief product officer and co-founder at Facilio, said the most immediate impact of AI in FM is removing drudgery for humans involved in operations. He added that enormous repetitive work in facilities requires humans to handle intake, triage, coordination, approvals, invoice validation, reporting and supervisory tasks.
In early enterprise deployments, one large multinational FM service provider in the United Arab Emirates demonstrates Facilio's AI helpdesk operating across multi-shift operations. The customer support line now operates autonomously 24 hours daily, responding to queries, creating service requests and escalating exceptions to supervisors.
