Employee development continues to play an increasingly important role across Ireland’s facilities management sector, and FLEXÉIR Facilities Services has been recognised for placing people at the centre of its long-term growth strategy.

At the Facilities Management Awards, held last March 11th, 2026 at the Royal Dublin Convention Centre, FLEXÉIR Facilities Services was named winner of Best People Development in Facilities Management for its initiative, FLEXÉIR Elevate.

Developed in response to a period of increased staff turnover, Elevate was designed to create clearer opportunities for progression and strengthen employee retention across the organisation. Rather than approaching recruitment and retention as separate challenges, the initiative focused on building an environment where employees could see a future within the business.

The programme introduced structured career mapping to help employees understand potential pathways for advancement while aligning personal ambitions with organisational goals. Alongside this, staff were supported through personalised development opportunities and incentive structures intended to encourage continued growth and engagement.

Commenting on the decision, the judging panel said: “This entrant set a clear benchmark for people development in Facilities Management. Elevate addressed real retention and recruitment challenges with a structured programme that moved seamlessly from insight to action, delivering measurable improvement and lasting change. Thoughtfully designed and effectively implemented, the initiative shows how targeted investment in people can strengthen capability, engagement, and long-term performance. A strong example of people's development done with purpose and impact.”
