The FM Today and Tomorrow 2026 conference has announced its Advisory Committee, bringing together four senior facilities management leaders and industry voices whose collective experience spans academia, corporate real estate, sustainability, and the full operational breadth of the FM profession. Their role is straightforward and important: to ensure that every session on the conference agenda earns its place, reflecting the realities of what FM professionals across Ireland are genuinely grappling with today.

Alex Magee, Programme Chair in Facilities and Building Services Management at ATU Sligo, brings three decades of experience across FM, building services, and asset management to the committee. A Fellow of the IWFM, Alex leads ATU Sligo's honours degree programme in Facilities and Building Services Management, connecting academic learning directly with professional practice in a way that keeps the curriculum grounded in the sector's real demands.

Eileen Slamon brings more than 20 years of property and FM leadership at Bank of Ireland and LinkedIn to the committee, including delivery of Dublin campus operations and leadership of workplace and food programmes across EMEA. A recipient of the FM Leader Award in 2022, Eileen's experience of managing large-scale, multi-site facilities management programmes across two major organisations gives her a practical perspective that will be invaluable in shaping a relevant and honest conference programme.

Fionnuala Byrne, GM of Real Estate and Workplace Services for EMEA at Google, has spent over 20 years in FM and workplace services and now leads one of the most ambitious built environment and workplace strategies in the sector. An EuroFM Ambassador for Ireland and IWFM committee member, she is also a committed mentor of emerging FM talent, bringing both strategic breadth and a genuine investment in the profession's future to the committee.

John Cunniffe, a sustainability strategist with an engineering background, rounds out the committee with deep expertise in embedding cradle-to-cradle thinking across the built environment. John has represented Ireland in the development of the ISO 50001 energy management standard, positioning him as one of the most credible voices in Ireland on the intersection of sustainability, energy management, and FM practice.
