Global workplace experience and facility services company ISS has announced an agreement to acquire Tomagruppen AS, a Norwegian majority family-owned facility services firm with operations across Norway and Denmark, in a bolt-on acquisition that reinforces ISS's market-leading position in the Nordic region.
The Phoenix Newspaper reported that the transaction is subject to customary regulatory approvals, with Tomagruppen generating total revenue of approximately DKK 1.8 billion (£208 million/€243 million) in 2025.
Founded in 1978 and headquartered in Bergen, Tomagruppen delivers cleaning, catering, property management and other support services to both the public and private sectors, with the vast majority of its operations in Norway.
The acquisition adds more than 4,000 new colleagues to ISS and increases the group's operational scale and sector knowledge across both Norway and Denmark. The deal will reinforce ISS Norway's position among the market-leading facility services providers in the country, while adding further scale and capability to ISS Denmark.
Kasper Fangel, group CEO of ISS, said: "Beyond expanding our presence in the Nordic region, this bolt-on acquisition is a strong strategic fit with ISS' well-performing business in both Norway and Denmark. It will drive efficiencies and unlock clear synergies, while enabling us to further scale and enhance our Integrated Facility Services (IFS) offering for customers across the region."
Frode Monsen, group CEO of Tomagruppen, said the acquisition marks an exciting milestone for the firm, adding that together ISS and Tomagruppen can strengthen the offering to customers and create new opportunities for employees and partners in the years ahead.
ISS Group reported 7.4% organic growth in Q1 2026 and global revenue of DKK 84.7 billion in 2025, with more than 325,000 employees worldwide.
