McQuillan Companies has acquired Bangor-based Wallace Contracts, strengthening its multi-sector portfolio across Ireland and Great Britain. Wallace Contracts, founded nearly 40 years ago by Graeme and Grace Wallace, is a well-established contracting and facilities management business, specialising in insurance repairs, landscaping, winter maintenance, emergency response, and building maintenance across corporate, business and public sectors.
The acquisition brings Wallace’s team of 40 staff into McQuillan Companies, allowing the business to integrate and expand its services in civil engineering, demolition, quarrying, hazardous and non-hazardous waste management, outdoor cleaning, winter maintenance, and analytical laboratory operations. All existing Wallace Contracts services will continue uninterrupted, ensuring clients experience a seamless transition.
McQuillan Companies directors highlighted that the acquisition strengthens the company’s service offering while enhancing its capabilities to serve new and existing customers. The deal leverages nearly four decades of Wallace family expertise, providing a strong foundation for continued growth and operational synergy across the combined portfolio.
