Mount Charles Group, a Northern Ireland-headquartered facilities management and outsourcing provider, has invested £2m (€2.34m) in the business over the past 12 months as it advances a long-term growth plan focused on operational capability, technology, and workforce development.
Based on Belfast’s Ormeau Road, the group employs around 3,500 staff across the island of Ireland and operates across a broad range of facilities management and support services. The company reported group turnover of £55m (€64.4m), according to a spokesperson.
The £2m (€2.34m) investment has been directed towards business improvements, contract delivery, and what the company described as “wide-ranging technological advancements” designed to strengthen service performance across client estates. Investment has also been made in people development through the launch of the Mount Charles leadership academy, which offers a Chartered Management Institute-recognised qualification.
The academy is positioned as a core pillar of the company’s facilities management strategy, supporting leadership capability across frontline operations, contract management, and service delivery.
Chief strategy officer Gavin Annon said: “We are committed to sustained growth and investment to deliver on our vision; the best employee and customer experience every day."
“We’re especially proud to have created the Mount Charles leadership academy, which will be one of the company’s pillars of excellence going forward."
“By equipping our people with accredited leadership skills and a clear pathway for progression, we are strengthening our pipeline of future leaders and reinforcing our long-term commitment to professional growth, social value and sustainability.”
Mount Charles plans to invest a further £8m (€9.4m) over the next four years as part of a five-year strategy that includes £10m (€11.7m) in total investment and the creation of 2,000 additional jobs by 2030.
