OCS, a leading United Kingdom and Ireland facilities management provider, has launched OCS Energy Services, a dedicated business unit transforming net zero plans into operational reality through a comprehensive five-stage delivery model, as reported by Facilitate Magazine.
The model provides estates and infrastructure owners with clear progression from early assessment to long-term operational performance. OCS Energy Services consolidates engineering, renewables, infrastructure and FM expertise to deliver measurable carbon reduction, energy savings and long-term estate resilience.
The five stages comprise discover, design, deliver, maintain and optimise, creating a structured approach to decarbonisation projects.
Graeme Hamilton, managing director of energy services at OCS, said that by combining engineering, energy and FM expertise into one structured model, the company gives customers a partner who can uncover opportunities, design buildable programmes, deliver projects safely at scale and ensure assets continue performing long after installation. He added that this is about turning net zero intent into practical, measurable action.
Operating across the United Kingdom and Ireland, OCS Energy Services will support public and private sector estates, including NHS Trusts, education institutions, local authorities, commercial portfolios, developers and infrastructure owners. Requirements include mechanical and electrical upgrades, building management system optimisation, heat decarbonisation, solar photovoltaic systems, battery energy storage and high-voltage grid connections up to 132 kilovolts.
Daniel Dickson, chief executive officer of OCS UK and Ireland, said decarbonisation is no longer a standalone initiative but must be embedded into everyday operation and management of estates. He added that by uniting technical, operational and infrastructure capabilities, this new business positions OCS as a long-term partner delivering both immediate energy improvements and lasting strategic value.
