Irish facilities management company OCS Ireland has completed the acquisition of Top Security, a nationwide security firm with offices in Cork, Dublin, and South Africa, in a move that significantly expands its integrated FM model and technology-enabled security capability.

The Irish Examiner reported that the deal brings OCS Ireland's total Irish workforce to almost 4,000 people, with Top Security's more than 300 employees transferring to the business upon completion.

Top Security was founded 40 years ago and operates a nationwide monitoring network, with the acquisition enhancing OCS Ireland's remote monitoring services, control room operations, communications resilience, and Alarm Receiving Centre capabilities.

For the year ending 28 February 2025, Top Security Limited generated turnover of just under €10.4m, up from just under €9m the prior year, recording a gross profit of €3.2m and an operating profit of €1m, though exceptional items resulted in a net loss of €5.8m for the financial year.

Áine Mulcahy, managing director of OCS Ireland, said the acquisition represents a significant step in enhancing our security capabilities in Ireland and further developing our integrated facilities management model.

The deal reflects a broader trend within the Irish FM sector towards consolidating specialist services — including security, monitoring, and ARC operations — within integrated facilities management platforms, enabling clients to manage complex, multi-service contracts through a single provider.

OCS operates across a wide range of FM services including cleaning, security, catering, and technical services, and the addition of Top Security's established monitoring infrastructure strengthens its ability to offer end-to-end, technology-led security solutions to clients across multiple sectors in Ireland.
