Resonate Testing has expanded its operations in Newry with the launch of a new thermal vacuum testing facility designed to support environmental testing and certification requirements for advanced engineering applications.
Reported by Insider Media, the development introduces thermal vacuum (TVAC) testing capability that enables equipment and components to be assessed under controlled vacuum and temperature conditions intended to replicate demanding operating environments.
The investment marks an expansion of the company’s specialist testing infrastructure and broadens the range of services available from its Northern Ireland base.
Testing environments form an increasingly important part of facilities capability across engineering and technical sectors, supporting validation processes before products enter live operating conditions.
According to the company, the facility will support organisations developing hardware that requires environmental verification and reliability testing before deployment.
The project was supported by Invest Northern Ireland and was formally opened during an event attended by regional representatives and company leadership.
The expansion also reflects growing demand for specialist testing environments as organisations seek greater access to technical infrastructure and certification services closer to operational and manufacturing centres.
For facilities operators and engineering environments, investment in controlled testing capability can support programme planning, reduce dependency on external capacity and improve access to technical assessment services.
As infrastructure requirements continue to evolve across advanced manufacturing and high-performance sectors, specialist facilities are becoming an increasingly important component of operational support and long-term delivery capability.
