Steel Guardians Limited, a Nigeria-based facilities management and property services provider, has named Segun Tugbiyele as its new managing director from 1 March 2026 as part of efforts to strengthen its expansion plans, as reported by Daily Trust.

Tugbiyele possesses more than three decades of professional background across finance, energy and property sectors. His diverse industry knowledge and management credentials are anticipated to bolster the organisation's strategic course and service delivery capabilities.

Prior to joining Steel Guardians, Tugbiyele occupied multiple senior positions at CMB Building, Maintenance and Investment Company Limited, gaining proficiency in company oversight, administrative governance and commercial advancement. His CMB Group tenure equips him to integrate Steel Guardians' goals with wider corporate priorities.

Steel Guardians indicated that Tugbiyele's arrival marks a fresh development chapter, drawing on his substantial corporate management and planning credentials to improve client services and secure sustained financial returns.

Kelechukwu Mbagwu, group managing director of CMB Building, Maintenance and Investment Company Limited, commended departing managing director Mfon Udofia for her determination and commitment throughout a difficult operational period.

Mbagwu observed that Udofia delivered consistent guidance that maintained Steel Guardians' stability through the COVID-19 crisis and additional business challenges. He characterised her as a dependable and motivating executive who secured the organisation's continuity.

After stepping down, Udofia plans to concentrate on developing Oyster Management Company, which she identified as her primary professional interest.
