Taylor Facilities Management has secured a £2.8 million investment to support a management buyout, positioning the business for continued expansion across the UK and Ireland while strengthening its long-term leadership structure.
Featured by Business News Wales, the investment has been provided by the Development Bank of Wales through the Wales Business Succession Fund and the Wales Flexible Investment Fund. The funding enables founders Pete and Leah Taylor to partially realise the value of the business while transferring ownership to members of the senior management team.
Founded in 2013, Taylor Facilities Management has grown into a national facilities management provider employing 70 people and delivering services for commercial clients, housing associations and local authorities throughout the UK and Ireland.
The transaction introduces equity ownership for key members of the management team, who will lead the company's next phase of development while continuing to deliver recently secured contracts and pursue expansion into new markets.
Pete and Leah Taylor will remain actively involved in the business, providing operational leadership and supporting the management team during the ownership transition to ensure continuity for employees and clients.
Pete Taylor said the investment recognises the contribution of the leadership team while creating a structure that supports future growth, enabling the company to expand into new sectors, create additional employment opportunities and continue delivering high-quality facilities management services.
Representatives from the Development Bank of Wales said the investment supports a well-planned succession strategy that both rewards the founders and empowers the next generation of leadership. They also highlighted the company's consistent growth, successful contract delivery and strong position for further expansion.
The management buyout reflects a wider trend across the facilities management sector, where investment in leadership succession and business continuity is becoming increasingly important as organisations strengthen resilience, expand service capabilities and position themselves for long-term growth.
