UCD renews major facilities partnership with Bidvest Noonan
University College Dublin (UCD), Ireland’s largest university and a leading European research hub, has re-awarded a multi-year integrated services contract to Bidvest Noonan. The renewal ensures the continuation of cleaning and support services across UCD’s 330-hectare Belfield campus, home to more than 38,000 students.
The partnership covers both indoor and outdoor cleaning operations, supported by advanced technologies such as robotic cleaning systems and sustainable water-saving solutions. Bidvest Noonan’s team plays a crucial role in maintaining not only the university’s academic and research buildings but also green spaces, event venues, and specialised facilities including the National Virus Reference Laboratory.
David Barker, Chief Growth Officer at Bidvest Noonan, said the renewal reflects a shared commitment to excellence and sustainability: “We look forward to continuing our support for UCD’s mission to deliver a world-class campus experience while exceeding its sustainability objectives.”
Lorraine Monaghan, Director of Operations for Education, highlighted that the contract demonstrates the trust and collaboration developed between the two organisations over the years. “With innovation and sustainability at the heart of our work, we’ll keep raising the bar to provide the best possible campus experience for students, staff and visitors,” she said.
The contract renewal strengthens Bidvest Noonan’s leadership in facilities management for large-scale academic institutions and reinforces UCD’s reputation as a forward-thinking campus integrating technology and environmental responsibility.
